After speaking to many artists, publishers and content owners about digital distribution, we have discovered that one of the greatest roadblocks with publishing digital content is getting your work ready for distribution. To help our publishers overcome this barrier, Carbonated Comics is proud to offer our professional digitizing service for free!

How it works:

Our digitizing team will take your content in its existing format and convert it into a common format CCX file (encrypted comic book file) that will be ready for digital distribution. We can convert your images (JPG, TIFF, PNG, etc.) legacy files (PDF, DWG, etc.) non-secured comic book files (CBR, CBZ, etc.) or even paper copies of your work.

To use the service:

Once you have created your User Account and completed the Publisher Application, simply contact us at support@carbonatedcomics.com and let us know your situation such as number of comics, current format, special circumstances, etc. We will then work with you to get your content ready to publish. It’s just that easy!

FAQ

Q: How can this be free? Other companies charge for this service. What’s the catch?
A: There is no catch! We are committed to providing a full service solution for your digital needs. We get 100% of our compensation from the sales of digital media, not from publisher fees or hidden charges.

Q: How long will the conversion or digitizing process take?
A: This really depends on the quantity of work that needs to be done. A simple JPG or PNG conversion will take significantly less time than scanning and digitizing a paper comic. We will give you a timeframe estimate based on the complexity of the conversion and our current workload.

Q: I have bound comics, loose pages and art boards. Can you help?
A: This is not a problem. We can work with whatever physical medium you have, be it bound material, loose pages, art boards, notebooks, sketch books… We can make it work.

Q: When my content is digitized, what format will it be in? What can I do with it?
A: Once we have completed your project, your comic will be ready to distribute. We will provide the file as a secure CCX file that can be immediately sold through the Carbonated Comics storefront. Customers will be able to browse a preview of your comic, purchase and download your comic and read it in the Carbonated Comics media manager The Carbonator!
